Four Pakistanis Confirmed Dead in Greece Boat Tragedy

Athens: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Greece, Amir Aftab Qureshi, has confirmed that the hopes of finding survivors among the missing Pakistanis in the recent boat tragedy in Greece have now diminished. In a press conference held in Athens, Ambassador Qureshi stated that the tragic incident resulted in the confirmed deaths of four Pakistani nationals, while more than 80 Pakistanis were reportedly on board the ill-fated vessel.

The ambassador further mentioned that search and rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the disaster, but the chances of finding any additional survivors are extremely slim. The boat, which initially suffered a breach, eventually capsized and sank, making rescue efforts even more challenging.

According to the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the Greek authorities have confirmed the deaths of four Pakistanis. She added that Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Greece is in constant contact with the Greek authorities to gather further information and provide assistance to the families of the victims.
