Final Hajj Costs for 2025 Set at Rs 1.05 Million Under Government Scheme

ISLAMABAD: The final estimate for Hajj expenses under the government scheme has been set at Rs 1.05 million for the 40-day official Hajj package, sources confirmed. This estimate follows final agreements made in Saudi Arabia, adjusting initial figures that ranged between Rs 1.075 million and Rs 1.175 million.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs had previously started accepting Hajj applications based on the preliminary cost estimates, but with the final agreements in place, the definitive price has now been confirmed. For the short-duration Hajj package, the cost has been set at Rs 1.1 million per person.

This year, the government has introduced several improvements for pilgrims, including air-conditioned accommodations in Mina, replacing the traditional coolers. The tents in Mina will also feature gypsum boards, offering better comfort, while sofa beds will replace traditional mattresses. Additionally, shelf facilities will be added to the Hajj package.

Hotel costs have also seen a reduction following agreements in Saudi Arabia. The extra charges for double beds have decreased by Rs 74,000, from Rs 259,000 to Rs 185,000. Similarly, extra charges for triple beds have dropped from Rs 86,500 to Rs 63,000.
