FIA Offloads Woman and Two Underage Daughters at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi
Officials say the girls’ ages were recorded higher than their real ages to obtain travel documents for a trip to the UAE.
Federal Investigation Agency – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has stopped two underage girls and their mother at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. Officials found problems in the girls’ travel documents during a routine check on Friday.
The family was heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). FIA staff noticed something wrong and took them aside for questioning.
During the talks, the girls told officials that their parents had written their ages higher than their real ages. This was done to get the travel papers made.
An FIA spokesperson said an agent based in the UAE had sent money to the girls’ mother. The money was reportedly meant to help prepare the documents.
Officials also checked the mother’s mobile phone. They found chats between her and the agent. They also found records of money transfers.
The FIA is treating these chats and records as evidence. They will play a key part in the case of suspected document fraud.
After the findings, the FIA stopped all three passengers from travelling. They were then handed over to the relevant law enforcement authorities for legal action.
The agency has not shared the names of the girls, their mother, or the agent. Their identities remain private for now.
The investigation will look at how the documents were prepared. It will also check how the girls’ ages were changed and what role the UAE-based agent played.
This case shows why travel documents must be checked with care. Fake or changed details can stop a journey and bring serious legal trouble for families.
Officials have also reminded travellers to always use correct information. Honest paperwork keeps passengers safe and protects children from risky travel plans.
More details are expected as the FIA continues its inquiry into the matter.
