FIA Arrests Three Suspects in MDCAT Paper Leak Scandal
Arrested individuals are accused of being key members of a network.
KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three individuals in connection with the ongoing MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) paper leak case. The suspects, identified as Shiraz Bilal, Tariq Aziz Samo, and Shan Durrani, were taken into custody by the FIA Cyber Crime Circle following a series of investigations.
Sources indicate that the arrested individuals are accused of being key members of a network responsible for leaking MDCAT exam papers. The suspects allegedly provided these leaked papers to students in exchange for money, aiding them in cheating during the crucial medical entrance test. Investigators uncovered screenshots from the suspects’ mobile phones showing the leaked papers being sent directly to candidates.
This group has been reportedly involved in the paper leak scheme since 2023, and the FIA is actively working to identify and apprehend other members of the ring. The investigation is ongoing as the agency continues to probe the case, aiming to bring an end to the widespread malpractice affecting the integrity of the examination system.
