Exams in Punjab May 11 and 12 postponed, Federal Board,EU also announced

All exams including O-level ,A-level cancelled for May 11: British Council

PUNJAB GOVT ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has postponed all exams till May 13,  Controller exams announced on Wednesday that the paper scheduled on May 15 will be held on time.

Lahore/Karachi (Tahir Chuhdary/Webdesk) Punjab government has announced the closure of colleges and universities across the province for two days due to deteriorated law and order situation, The caretaker government of Punjab made important decisions regarding the regular academic sessions at the educational institutions after protests sparked across the province. It has been decided to close colleges and universities for two days, however, medical colleges will remain open.

The provincial government will decide on regular classes of schools tonight.

The decisions were taken in a high-level session chaired by Punjab caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi today in which the participants reviewed the law and order situation.

Meanwhile,

In the midst of ongoing protests after the arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan, the British Council on Wednesday cancelled all exams that were to be held on May 11.

The exams included O-level and A-level examinations, Pearson, University of London, ACCA and IELTS.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson for Cambridge International Assessment Arslan Sidiqui said papers would not be taken again as per followed practice worldwide.

Cambridge International’s Country Director for Pakistan Uzma Yusuf mentioned the reasons behind the exams’ cancellation and said they had been cancelled as their first priority was the safety of the students.

Earlier, the British Council cancelled all the papers scheduled on May 10 due to uncertainty in the country following former prime minister Imran Khan’s arrest.
