Ex-USAF Fighter Pilot Arrested for Allegedly Training Chinese Military

Former U.S. Air Force pilot arrested for allegedly training Chinese military, raising serious national security concerns across America.

US – (Web Desk) – The U.S. Department of Justice has arrested a former Air Force pilot for allegedly training Chinese military personnel without authorization.

According to the FBI’s Counterintelligence and Espionage Division, Major Gerald Brown, once a decorated USAF pilot known by his call sign “Runner,” was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Authorities say the 65-year-old former F-35 instructor is accused of offering defense training to Chinese pilots, actions described by FBI spokesperson Roman Rozhavsky as a betrayal of the country he once pledged to defend.

Rozhavsky said the arrest of Major Brown serves as a warning to China who continue to exploit the expertise of U.S. officials to modernise its military capabilities.

Brown, who served for 24 years in the USAF and

had been involved with several sensitive units, including units linked to nuclear weapons delivery systems, is accused of travelling to China in December 2023 to train Chinese military pilots before returning to the U.S. in early February 2026.
