LAHORE () The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has retrieved 3 acres of highly valuable commercial land from illegal occupiers during a major anti-encroachment operation. The operation was carried out on the directives of the Chairman of the One-Man Commission—constituted under the supervision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan—Dr. Shoaib Suddle, and the Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board.
Secretary ETPB Fareed Iqbal supervised the operation along with Deputy Secretary Property Hassan Imtiaz. The FIA staff, Deputy Administrator Karachi, local police, ETPB security personnel, and heavy machinery actively assisted in the operation. During the clearance drive, boundary walls and constructed superstructures built unlawfully over Trust land at different locations in Sohrab Goth, Karachi, were demolished. Control of the recovered 3 acres of property has been taken over by the Board, and ETPB security personnel have been deployed there.

Secretary ETPB Fareed Iqbal stated that encroachment on Trust property is a serious offence. In light of the directives of the Federal Government and the head of the One-Man Commission Dr. Shoaib Suddle, indiscriminate action against illegal occupants of Trust land will continue. He further added that in recent months, Trust land worth billions of rupees has already been retrieved from land grabbers in Karachi, Lahore, Nankana, and other districts. He affirmed that, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s directives, grand operations will be conducted phase-wise across the country and Trust properties will be restored to their original state.
