London: England Women clinched a comprehensive victory over Pakistan Women by 53 runs in the first T20 match.
Despite a promising start, Pakistan Women missed the opportunity to secure a win against England Women.
Played in Birmingham, England’s women’s team managed to score 163 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs, despite losing their first four wickets for just 11 runs.
Captain Heather Knight led from the front with an impressive 49 runs, while Amy Jones contributed 37 runs and Danielle Gibson remained not out with 41 runs to propel the team to a formidable total.
