England Training Equipment Stolen Before World Cup

England Training Equipment Theft in Kansas City Disrupts World Cup Preparations

US Police – (Web Desk) – US police are now investigating the theft of England training equipment from team vehicles in Kansas City, just days before England’s first World Cup match kicks off.

Balls, boots and other training gear went missing after vehicles carrying the squad’s belongings were broken into. The incident happened before the players even arrived at their Swope Soccer Village base on Saturday.

The Football Association confirmed something had gone wrong but kept details brief, saying the matter was now with the police. Kansas City, Missouri Police Department confirmed they were looking into equipment reported missing from a team vehicle.

Two people have reportedly been arrested in connection with the theft, according to the BBC.

Thomas Tuchel’s squad had travelled from their Florida base and were set to train at Swope Soccer Village at 5:00 pm local time on Saturday.

The timing could not be worse. England open their World Cup campaign against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, with Ghana and Panama to follow in Group L.
