England Announces Jos Buttler-Led Squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
London: England has revealed its 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the ODI series against India, with wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler set to lead the side. The England Cricket Board (ECB) made the announcement on Sunday, confirming that the same squad will travel to India for three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in February 2025, ahead of the much-anticipated eight-team tournament.
The squad includes key players like Jofra Archer, Harry Brook, Joe Root, and Adil Rashid, with Buttler retaining the captaincy. However, all-rounder Ben Stokes was not included in the squad as he is still being assessed for a left hamstring injury sustained during England’s third Test against New Zealand earlier this month. The ECB clarified that Stokes continues to undergo evaluations before his return to the field.
