COAS Gen Asim Munir Reaffirms Commitment to Eradicate Terrorism in Pakistan
COAS Vows to Relentlessly Pursue Terrorists and Their Facilitators
Wana: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to completely eliminate the threat of Fitna al-Khwarij, a group linked to terrorism in the region. During his visit to Wana, he was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander of Peshawar and took the opportunity to make a strong statement against the perpetrators of terrorism.
COAS Munir vowed to relentlessly pursue the terrorists and their facilitators, saying, “We will track down those responsible, including their abettors, financiers, and those inciting terrorism, until their complete elimination.” He stressed that individuals engaging in criminal activities against the state will face severe consequences for their actions.
The Army Chief also underscored the critical role of law enforcement agencies and armed forces in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty. He praised the bravery and determination of security personnel, describing them as the true heroes of the nation. “The courage of our young soldiers is an inspiration to all and serves as a powerful motivator for the people of Pakistan,” he remarked.
General Munir emphasized that no stone would be left unturned in dismantling the networks supporting terrorism and that those involved in any form of terrorism, including financial support and incitement, would be held accountable.
