ECP Summons Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhary in Contempt Case

Both Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhary have previously been indicted on charges of contempt against the Election Commission and its Chief Election Commissioner.

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notices to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary in connection with cases alleging contempt towards the Election Commission and its Chief Election Commissioner.

The long-pending case, which has been under consideration for two years, is scheduled for a hearing on July 11. Notably, Fawad Chaudhary failed to attend the most recent hearing.
