ECP call 40 political parties’ leadership on Campaign Expenditures

ISLAMABAD, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned the leaders of 40 political parties for failing to submit detailed accounts of their campaign expenses from the recent general elections.

Notices had previously been issued to these parties, but with non-compliance still prevalent, the ECP has now called their leaders to appear today.

Among those summoned are notable figures such as BNP President Akhtar Mengal, PTI Ideological Akhtar Iqbal Dar, and Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party President and former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.

The summons list also includes ANP President Asfandyar Wali, Jamshed Dasti of the Awami Raj Party, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of QL, and Raja Abbas Nasir of MWM.
