DPM Dar holds talks with UAE counterpart on regional peace

FM Ishaq Dar and UAE counterpart discuss peace, stability, and dialogue amid regional tensions.

Pakistan & UAE – (Web Desk) – On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They discussed the changing situation in the region as countries work to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States.

Since the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran began, Pakistan’s leaders have increased diplomatic efforts. Dar has talked to leaders from several Gulf countries and beyond. He stressed the need to calm tensions and encouraged dialogue. He also highlighted following the rules of the United Nations to find peaceful solutions.

In a talk with his UAE counterpart today, FM Dar underscored the importance of peace and stability, calling for immediate de-escalation and emphasising that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable path forward, the Foreign Office (FO) said on X.

He also expressed sorrow over the loss of lives, including three Pakistani nationals, in Iran’s attacks on the UAE and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with the country. Both leaders exchanged Eid greetings and agreed to remain in close contact.
