Donald Trump Calls General Asim Munir His Favorite Field Marshal

As Trump concluded his remarks, he invited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to speak at the press conference.

Islamabad: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has referred to Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir as his “favorite Field Marshal,” during a media interaction in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Speaking to the press, Trump mentioned that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present at the event, but Field Marshal Asim Munir was not. Turning to PM Shehbaz Sharif, Trump requested that his greetings be conveyed to General Munir.

Expressing his hopes for regional peace, Trump stated, “I wish for India and Pakistan to become the best of neighbors.”
