Tragic Bus Accident in Iran's Yazd Province Kills 35 Pakistani Pilgrims, Leaves 20 Injured

TEHRAN – A tragic bus accident in Iran’s Yazd province early Wednesday claimed the lives of at least 35 Pakistani pilgrims and left 20 others injured.

As per reports from Iranian media, the bus overturned and subsequently caught fire near the Taftan-Dehshir checkpoint. The vehicle was carrying 53 passengers at the time of the incident.

Emergency responders, including police and rescue teams, quickly arrived at the scene to transport the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals. In response to the severity of the accident, authorities have declared an emergency in local hospitals to handle the influx of patients.

It is reported that the majority of the passengers were from cities in Sindh, including Larkana and Ghotki.

Officials have expressed concern that the death toll may increase, as several of the injured remain in critical condition.
