KARACHI: A cracker explosion near Al Noor Hotel on Yari Art Chowk in Lyari, Karachi, has left one person injured. The victim, identified as 45-year-old laborer Ali Muhammad, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, he has since been discharged.
According to SSP City, Arif Aziz, the explosion occurred inside a building under construction. Investigations are ongoing, and the police are examining the incident’s nature and motive.
SSP Aziz stated that the injured person’s testimony will provide further clarity on the situation. Additionally, the building owner has reported no prior extortion demands or threats. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has been called in to assess the blast, and further inquiries are underway.
