Lahore Court Delays Verdict in Ali Zafar Meesha Shafi Case
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A local court in Lahore on Monday postponed proceedings in the defamation case filed by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi, stating that the case record will be carefully reviewed before delivering a verdict.
Additional Sessions Judge Asif Hayat, who is overseeing the case, said the court will thoroughly examine all evidence and documentation before reaching a final decision.
He added that if the judgment is completed during court hours on Tuesday, it will be announced the same day. Otherwise, a new date will be scheduled for the verdict.

During Monday’s hearing, legal representatives from both sides presented their arguments and assisted the court in reviewing the case.
The matter dates back to 2018, when Ali Zafar filed a defamation lawsuit seeking Rs100 crore in damages after Meesha Shafi accused him of harassment.
The hearing has now been adjourned until Tuesday.
