Court Declares Five Workers Innocent in May 9 Case

ISLAMABAD: In a significant development in the May 9 Jinnah House arson case, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has declared five workers innocent. The decision follows the submission of findings by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that cleared the workers of any involvement in the incident.

The hearing was presided over by ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gul, who considered the JIT’s conclusions before making the ruling. The five workers—Kamran, Usman Qadri, Shahid Khan, Shayan Saeed, and Syed Dabir-ul-Hassan—were exonerated of all charges related to the arson at Jinnah House, a key location targeted during the unrest.

Following the JIT’s findings, the accused workers requested to withdraw their bail applications, leading the court to dismiss them. The case against the workers was originally registered at Sarwar Road Police Station.
