Consultations Ongoing on Pakistan T20 Squad for Sri Lanka Tour & World Cup

The T20 World Cup will be held from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka.

Islamabad: Consultations are underway regarding Pakistan’s T20 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka and the T20 World Cup, with an official announcement expected soon.

Sources said that all-rounder Shadab Khan, who has impressed with his performances in the Big Bash League, is likely to be included in the squad for the Sri Lanka series. Fast bowler Haris Rauf is also under consideration, and his return to the team is expected. Young players Muaz Sadaqat and Ahmed Daniyal may also be given an opportunity.

According to the schedule, Pakistan will play three T20 matches against Sri Lanka on January 7, 9, and 11. The deadline for submitting the preliminary squad for the T20 World Cup is January 7, and it is likely that the squad selected for the Sri Lanka tour will form the core of the World Cup team.

 

The T20 World Cup will be held from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka.
