COAS Gen Asim Munir promotes three Major Generals to Lt General including ISPR DG
The Army Chief also approved the appointments for the three newly-promoted three-star generals.
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Chief General Asim Munir Friday promoted three Major Generals including the current ISPR DG to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Those who got promoted include ISPR DG Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari and Major General Inayat Hussain.
The Army Chief also approved the appointments for the three newly-promoted three-star generals.
Lt Gen Omer Ahmed Bokhari has been posted as Commander 11 Corps (Peshawar), Lt Gen Inayat as Chief of Logistics Services (GHQ) and Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif to remain at the helm of the ISPR.
Lt Gen Omer Ahmed Bokhari won the honorary sword in the PMA’s 84-long course while Inayat Hussain, who hails from Hunza, has won the presidential gold medal. They both were serving as Vice Chief of General Staff at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry is a quite well-known personality being the Director General of the military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). He will continue to be posted in the same important position.
