CM Murad vows to crush terrorism, street crime

Karachi_While chairing an important meeting regarding the law and order situation in the province, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Thursday said that the terrorists would not be allowed to rise again,

“The terrorist organisations want to disrupt peace and order in the country,” he said and vowed to carry out a heavy-handed operation against the street criminals during the next 15 days.

The chief minister also stressed the need for increasing cooperation between Sindh Police and other intelligence agencies, directing them to speed up intelligence-based operations against the outlaws by keeping in touch with each other on a daily-basis.

The chief minister also directed the DG Rangers to increase patrolling. It was also decided in the meeting to improve prosecution in the street crime cases.

The meeting also decided to repatriate the illegal immigrants across the province and increase surveillance on the roads leading into and out of Karachi city.

“Police and Rangers should be deployed at important places where the criminals are more active,” he ordered.

“There have been seven murders in dacoity incidents reported in December,” he added.

The meeting also decided to share the data of operations, conducted against terrorists and street criminals on a daily-basis, with police and media.

Sindh Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput and the officers of Rangers and Sindh police attended the meeting.
