CM Maryam Nawaz Emphasizes Skilled Youth as Key to Punjab’s Economic Independence
The Chief Minister underscored the Punjab government’s dedication to providing vocational training opportunities for its youth.
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has reaffirmed her commitment to empowering every young person in the province with essential skills for economic independence.
In a statement on World Youth Skills Day, Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of skilled youth as the cornerstone of Punjab’s investment and assets. She emphasized the necessity of equipping young people with the skills required for global advancement and success.
“The skilled youth are our true investment and assets,” Maryam Nawaz stated. “It is imperative to acquaint our young generation with the competencies needed to thrive in the modern world.”
The Chief Minister underscored the Punjab government’s dedication to providing vocational training opportunities for its youth. She announced plans to progressively increase the number of students enrolled in TEVTA courses to 40,000 under the Chief Minister’s Skills Development program.

“The Punjab government is resolute in offering professional training opportunities to our young people,” she added. “We aim to expand the TEVTA courses enrollment gradually to ensure that more students can benefit from these valuable training programs.”
