CM GB Pledges unwavering support for Kashmiri self-determination

Haji Gulbar Khan condemned the illegal actions in occupied Kashmir.
GILGIT: Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan’s Haji Gulbar Khan has issued a special message on February 5, marking Kashmir Solidarity Day, expressing unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
In his message, Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan emphasized that February 5 symbolizes the steadfast resolve of Kashmiris towards achieving their right to self-determination. He highlighted that the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, is essential for lasting peace in South Asia.
Pakistan reaffirms its complete support and solidarity with its Kashmiri brethren in their quest for undeniable right to self-determination. The Pakistani nation stands in full solidarity with Kashmiris’ relentless struggle for self-determination on this day. India’s unilateral and illegal actions on August 5, 2019, aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of occupied Kashmir and changing its demographic structure, have been condemned.
Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan condemned the illegal actions in occupied Kashmir as a negation of the Kashmiris’ inalienable right to self-determination and a violation of international laws and norms. He reiterated that the Kashmir issue, the oldest unresolved conflict on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council, cannot be resolved due to India’s disregard for international obligations, reneging on promises, fundamental human rights violations, and disrespect for international laws.
The occupying Indian forces can undermine the legitimate existence of Kashmiris. Thousands of Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives at the hands of Indian occupying forces, and they continue to endure countless injustices. The entire Pakistani nation reassures its Kashmiri brothers and sisters that we stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
We will continue our moral and political support until they achieve freedom from Indian oppression and aggression.

Special Assistant for Information, Iman Shah, stated on the social media platform Twitter that Gilgit-Baltistan‘s people stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for freedom. He condemned the severe injustices in Kashmir and emphasized that India cannot suppress the expression of freedom through force and coercion.
