Chief Minister of Pakistan approves rural gasification program
Lahore (Staff Reporter) Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi gave approval to the project of gas supply to villages and industries with the support of the private sector.
A meeting was held in the CM’s House under the chairmanship of Punjab CM, in which former Principal Secretary to CM GM Sikandar, Secretary Energy, Chief Operating Officer of LNG Easy Pvt Brigadier (Rtd) Umar Ejaz, GM Operations Fahad Hamid and related officials participated.
According to the source, in the meeting, it was decided in principle that LNG Easy Private Limited will supply gas to the villages and industries of Punjab.
In this regard, Punjab CM said that the promotion of green fuel will end environmental pollution.
Pervaiz Elahi said that the Punjab government will support LNG Easy Private in the rural gasification program. The long-standing demand of the people will be fulfilled by supplying gas in the villages with the support of the private sector, adding that providing environmentally friendly green fuel to the public is among priorities.
Furthermore, the CEO LNG Easy Private Mian Yasir Hamid said that the provision of gas in the villages will solve the cutting of trees and burning of wood. Gas will be available for cooking in homes through LNG gas grid.
The use of LNG during cooking will not have adverse health effects on women’s health, he said.
