OGDCL Chairman Outlines Plans for PMIF26 Following PMIF25 Success

PMIF25 Draws 5,000+ as Pakistan Showcases Mineral Potential

ISLAMABAD– Chairman of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Zafar Masud, visited the company’s head office in Islamabad on Monday to commend the OGDCL team on the successful execution of the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 (PMIF25).

During his meeting with Managing Director/CEO Ahmed Hayat Lak and senior officials, Chairman Masud praised the team’s efforts in organizing a globally recognized event that effectively highlighted Pakistan’s vast mineral potential. He stated that PMIF25 had positioned Pakistan as a rising hub for mineral and natural resource investment on the global stage.

Looking ahead, the Chairman initiated discussions on the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26), emphasizing the importance of building on the momentum generated by this year’s event. He called for early preparations, wider international engagement, and creative strategies to ensure PMIF26 surpasses its predecessor in scope, reach, and impact.

Masud also reviewed initial proposals regarding the date and venue for next year’s forum and urged the team to aim for even more ambitious targets.

PMIF25, organized by OGDCL with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Government of Pakistan, drew over 5,000 participants and more than 300 national and international delegates. The forum featured key stakeholders from government, mining, investment, and academia, marking a milestone in efforts to unlock and promote Pakistan’s mineral wealth on the global front.
