Three Suspects Dead as CCD Chiniot Encounter Ends in Gunfight Near Wagh Sem Bridge

Chiniot – (Web Desk) – Three suspected robbers were killed in a CCD Chiniot encounter near the Chak 157 Wagh Sem Bridge area on Tuesday. Police exchanged heavy fire with armed suspects travelling on motorcycles from Jamiaabad.

According to the Crime Control Department, a police team received intelligence about wanted suspects moving through the area. Officers signaled three motorcycles to stop for inspection. The riders allegedly opened fire instead of complying.

A fierce gun battle followed. Two police officers were hit by bullets during the exchange but remained safe thanks to their bulletproof jackets.

After the firing stopped, police searched the surrounding area. Three men identified as Ali, Imran, and Arman were found dead at the scene. Rescue 1122 officials arrived and officially confirmed their deaths.

Five other suspects managed to escape during the chaos. Police have launched a search operation to track and arrest the fleeing men.

Authorities recovered illegal weapons from the bodies of the three deceased. Police said all three were wanted in several cases of robbery, theft, and other serious crimes.

A case has been registered. The recovered weapons have been taken into custody. Investigations are currently ongoing.
