ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A remarkable bowling performance by Brett Randell has created history in New Zealand’s domestic cricket after he took five wickets in five consecutive deliveries during a first-class match.
Playing for Central Districts, the fast bowler delivered a stunning spell against Northern Districts on the second day of a Plunket Shield match in Napier.
Randell finished with exceptional figures of seven wickets for just 25 runs, marking the best bowling performance of his career. The spell is also considered one of the most impressive bowling displays in the history of Central Districts’ domestic cricket.

During his incredible run, Randell dismissed five batsmen in five consecutive balls, including Jeet Raval and fast bowler Kristian Clarke.
The rare achievement of taking five wickets in five balls has previously been recorded in professional T20 cricket by Curtis Campher during an inter-provincial domestic match.
In the match, Central Districts had earlier posted a total of 373 runs. In reply, Northern Districts were bowled out for just 82 runs, largely due to Randell’s devastating spell, which saw him take six wickets in eight deliveries and seven wickets in just 12 balls.
