Brain Gain, Not Drain: Army Chief Praises Overseas Pakistanis

COAS Sends Strong Message to Enemies: “Terrorists Cannot Decide Pakistan’s Fate”

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir delivered a powerful and heartfelt address during the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, declaring that no group of terrorists, no matter how persistent, can dictate the future of Pakistan.

In a firm message to the enemies of the state, General Munir said that even ten generations of terrorists could not harm Balochistan or Pakistan. He described Balochistan as the “future of Pakistan” and the “crown jewel” of the nation’s identity.

Reaffirming the strength of the bond between the people and the armed forces, the Army Chief said, “As long as the brave people of this country stand with the army, we can overcome any challenge.” He emphasized that Pakistan is a nation blessed with vast natural and human resources, and expressed deep gratitude to Allah Almighty for these gifts.

Addressing the audience of overseas Pakistanis, General Munir praised their commitment and contributions to the nation, calling them “the light of Pakistan that shines across the world.” He reassured them that they are held in high regard back home and that Pakistanis at home have strong sentiments for their compatriots abroad.

Taking aim at those who portray the migration of skilled professionals as a “brain drain,” the Army Chief offered a different perspective. “This is not brain drain but brain gain,” he said, highlighting the success and impact of Pakistanis around the globe.

In his closing remarks, General Munir urged overseas Pakistanis to carry forward the story of Pakistan’s creation and its values to the next generation. “Your legacy stems from a great ideology and civilization. It is your duty to keep that narrative alive,” he said.
