Bilawal says BJP announced his head money of Rs20m

 FM defends remarks against Modi, terms it a ‘historical fact’

Washington _Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tuesday said the Indian ruling BJP member has announced head money of Rs20 million for his “Butcher of Gujrat” remarks against PM Modi.

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto during an interview with the American TV channel Bloomberg said Modi’s party member announcing a reward over his head is very evident proof of the remarks “Butcher of Gujrat” given to him.

He said that he just stated a “historical reality”, he did not invent that term, to infect the Indian Muslims of Gujrat did following the Gujrat riots.

Upon being asked about the uproar caused in both countries following Bilawal’s remarks, he stated that the protests that resulted in India are their right but they crossed the line when they officially announced a bounty over the neighboring country’s foreign minister head.The minister, when questioned about his recent remarks about the Indian PM, defended his stance and said that he has only repeated a proven historic fact. He added that not him but the people of Gujrat invented the term of “the butcher of Gujrat” for Modi.

He continued that the Indian Government has crossed a line and it has become normalized. This troubles him when he is engaging and interacting with an international medium.

The minister, when questioned about his recent remarks about the Indian PM, defended his stance and said that he has only repeated a proven historic fact. He added that not him but the people of Gujrat invented the term of “the butcher of Gujrat” for Modi.

He said that Indian Muslims, especially in Gujrat face violence under the Modi government. He added that he had heard that BJP had put money on his head.

 

In a press talk on December 16, the foreign minister Bilawal said that Osama Bin Laden had died, but the butcher of Gujarat — Narendra Modi — is still alive and has become the prime minister of India.

Indian media had reported that BJP leader Manupal Hansal had announced bounty of Indian rupees 20 million on Bilawal’s head following the comment.
