Bilal Azhar Kiani Claims Inflation Hits 6-Year Lowest Level
Kiani Highlights Govt Efforts to Revive Economy & Reduce Inflation
Lahore: Bilal Azhar Kiani, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), has claimed that inflation in the country has dropped to its lowest level in six years.
In a media briefing, Kiani praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for continuously launching new projects, particularly highlighting her significant contributions to the health sector.
He also condemned the recent terrorist incident in South Waziristan, expressing solidarity with the victims and saluting the martyrs, calling them the nation’s heroes.
Regarding the economy, Kiani stated that the government is taking steps to improve the country’s financial situation. He emphasized that inflation has decreased to its lowest point in six years and that efforts are being made to recover the losses incurred between 2018 and 2022.
He further noted that the policy rate has been significantly reduced, and ongoing reforms are being implemented at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Kiani criticized the previous PTI government, stating that it had left the country in ruins.

On the matter of negotiations with PTI, he clarified that such talks would not absolve anyone from criminal responsibility. However, he expressed willingness to engage in discussions on national issues, stressing that those involved in the events of May 9 should face justice.
