Benazir,s Daughter vows to carry forward mother’s vision

PPP launches website with election manifesto 2024,

Karachi_Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, daughter of the late Benazir Bhutto, delivered a poignant speech during her visit to Maripur, echoing the legacy of her mother and the Bhutto family.

Embracing her lineage, she reminded the crowd of her connection to Benazir Bhutto, emphasizing her commitment to continue her mother’s mission.

“Benazir Bhutto was the voice of the poor farmers, the students,” she declared, reflecting on her mother’s enduring advocacy for the marginalized. Despite Benazir’s voice being silenced, Aseefa pledged to be the voice of the people, alongside her brother Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.

With fervent determination, the Bhutto scion vowed to tackle poverty and empower slum dwellers, promising to grant them ownership rights. Her aspirations extend to seeing Bilawal as Prime Minister, a vision shared by many in Kemari, where the people rallied behind the Bhutto legacy.

With heartfelt gestures, Aseefa engaged with the crowd, responding to slogans with waves and gestures of solidarity. Her presence in Maripur and Kemari underscored the enduring connection between the Bhutto family and the people, evoking a sense of unity and shared purpose as the nation approaches the pivotal elections on February 8th.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) revealed its electoral agenda on Saturday for the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8.

Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, senior PPP leader Sherry Rehman outlined the party’s vision. She conveyed that Bhutto-Zardari had introduced a 10-point economic plan, emphasising relief for the masses over mere investment.

“Bilawal Bhutto is prioritising farmers, labourers, and the underprivileged,” stated Sherry.

Rehman highlighted key elements in the manifesto, such as provisions for basic necessities like ”roti , kapran and makan” (food, clothing, and shelter) along with outlining the party’s stance on foreign policy.

She stressed the importance of taking tangible measures to combat poverty and unemployment, solidifying these commitments within the manifesto.

The manifesto also included a dedicated program aimed at generating employment opportunities for the youth.

Bilawal lambasts opponents for reluctance to campaign over flimsy excuses,

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday squarely blamed the PML-N and the PTI for the current economic mess, saying the two groups sowed hatred and division by turning their political differences into personal enmity, driving a wedge in society to the detriment of the country, economy and every Pakistani.

Addressing an election rally in Peshawar, Bilawal expressed gratitude for the rousing welcome he received upon his arrival in Peshawar.

Currently on a whirlwind tour of the four provinces ahead of the Feb 8 elections, Bilawal mentioned that he had already addressed 10 conventions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

He reiterated his pledge to double salaries, regularize slums, and provide ownership rights to dwellers, promising interest-free loans to women for businesses.

He said he would make certain labourers got their fair share as he gave a pledge on assistance for labourers through “Benazir labourer card”.

PPP’s battle against poverty & inflation: Bilawal

Bilawal alleged that it was the PML-N which brought false cases against late former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari. This party later faced the consequences of its actions, he added.

He said the PPP had also warned the PTI founder against politics of revenge, but this advice drew a blank. Bilawal said his party would bring a paradigm shift by eliminating hate and divisive politics, focusing on policies that benefit impoverished people and labourers.
