Bangladesh beat Afghanistan to complete T20I series sweep
Bangladesh reached the target of 144 runs in 18 overs with four wickets down.
SHARJAH: Bangladesh overwhelmed Afghanistan by six wickets in the third and final match of the T20I series at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday, completing a 3–0 series sweep over the Rashid Khan-led side.
Afghanistan, batting first, were restricted to 143 for 9 in their 20 overs. Key contributions came from Darwish Rasooli with 32 runs off 29 balls and Sediqullah Atal who scored 28 runs from 23 deliveries. Bangladesh bowlers Mohammad Saifuddin and Nasum Ahmed were instrumental, taking three and two wickets respectively.

In response, Bangladesh reached the target of 144 runs in 18 overs with four wickets down. Saif Hassan top-scored with an unbeaten 64 off 38 balls, including seven sixes and two fours. Tanzid Hasan contributed 33 runs, while Jaker Ali made 10 before falling to Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The victory was secured with 12 balls remaining.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets for Afghanistan but was unable to prevent the hosts from clinching the match comfortably. Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling and strong batting ensured a convincing win in the dead rubber.
