Balochistan to be Made Terrorist-Free ‘At All Costs’, PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed profound sorrow following a recent tragic event in Balochistan, pledging to eradicate the threat of terrorism in the region.

Quetta- Balochistan to be Made Terrorist-Free ‘At All Costs’, PM, During a National Committee meeting in Quetta, PM Shehbaz stated, “We are deeply saddened by the recent incident in Balochistan. The resurgence of terrorism since 2018 will be decisively addressed.” He referred to the tragic event on August 26 and highlighted, “Our adversaries are foreign elements opposing Pakistan’s progress. We must overcome the obstacles hindering Balochistan’s development.”

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the sacrifices made by security personnel and civilians will not be in vain. He stressed the federal government’s commitment to working alongside the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, and other officials to restore peace.

“With divine support and under the leadership of our Armed Forces, the federal and provincial governments will rise to meet this challenge. We are determined to eradicate terrorism across Pakistan and restore our nation’s stature,” he declared.

Shehbaz Sharif: Nation United Against Terrorism, Vows to Safeguard CPEC Projects

PM Shehbaz also underscored the importance of following the principles set forth by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal to steer the nation towards prosperity. He concluded, “United with unwavering determination, we will eliminate terrorism once more, and Insha’Allah, we will succeed.”

The meeting was attended by key figures including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Gen Asim Munir, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, federal and provincial ministers, assembly members, and relevant secretaries. The Prime Minister was updated on recent terrorist activities and the overall security landscape.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz visited Balochistan for a one-day trip to participate in the Apex Committee meeting, where he was welcomed by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Provincial Assembly Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, and other provincial officials.

On Wednesday, PM Shehbaz also expressed hope for the positive trajectory of Pakistan’s economy. During a review session on economic growth and investment in Islamabad, he voiced satisfaction with the progress made, attributing it to the efforts of his economic team. “Thanks to divine blessings, our economic team’s efforts are yielding positive results,” he noted.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Moody’s recent upgrade of Pakistan’s credit rating as a sign of international validation of the government’s economic policies. Reflecting on past challenges, he stated, “We put our politics aside for the country’s sake, averting an economic default. Now that we’ve achieved stability, the economy is on the rise. The benefits of prioritizing national interests are becoming clear.”

PM Shehbaz praised the Moody’s rating upgrade as evidence of the effectiveness of the government’s economic strategies. He expressed confidence that the economy will continue to advance and commended the finance minister and his team for their significant contributions.

He also highlighted the growing interest from friendly nations in investing in Pakistan, attributing this to the government’s effective policies. The Prime Minister urged ministers and relevant agencies to expedite the execution of planned investment projects, stressing that any delays would be unacceptable.
