Australian batters set a unique record against England in the Ashes

All eleven Aussie batters reached double figures for first time

SYDNEY: Australia created a remarkable batting record in the second Ashes Test against England.

In the ongoing Test match in Brisbane, England scored 334 runs in their first innings, thanks to a brilliant century from Joe Root.

In reply, Australia posted 511 runs in their first innings, taking a 177-run lead over England.

Australian batters achieved a unique feat in this innings — all 11 batters reached double figures, marking the first time in Ashes history that this has happened.

Previously, Australia had accomplished this feat twice: once against India in 1948 and again against Sri Lanka in 1992.

However, since the Ashes series began in 1882, this is the first time all 11 Australian batters have scored in double digits against England.

By the end of the third day’s play, England had reached 134 for 6 in their second innings and still trail Australia by 43 runs.
