Audio clip is ‘nature’s justice’ but PML-N not behind it: Maryam Nawaz

Staff Reporter – Rawalpindi:

Rebuffing allegations by the interior minister, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that her party has no role behind the alleged audio clip of former chief justice Saqib Nisar but called it nature’s justice.

Speaking at a press conference, the PML-N leader said that the former chief justice admitted that it is his voice in the video after initially disowning it, adding that Nisar was involved in an ugly conspiracy planned against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Saqib Nisar had a dual standard for justice for Nawaz and Prime Minister Imran Khan. Judge Arshad Malik was ousted from the court because of speaking truth,” she said. “Former Gilgit Baltistan chief also revealed Nisar’s role in influencing the judiciary to sentence Sharif family. I am happy that PM Imran and Nisar are getting exposed.”

She said that former chief justice Saqib Nisar has to one day tell the truth before the nation about who forced him to sentence former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Maryam said that while Saqib Nisar has chosen to not comment on the audio clip but the entire cabinet spokespersons are defending him.

“Saqib Nisar said that am I fool to present before the court. Was an elected prime minister fool to put himself and his family accountable on bogus cases,” she said.

The PML-N leader said that the ultimate beneficiary of the entire conspiracy is Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Maryam said that the judiciary should not bear the responsibility of the ‘crimes of Saqib Nisar’.

“As a Pakistani, we don’t want to criticise the judiciary. We don’t want the stains of Saqib Nisar on judiciary. It is the bad legacy that is condemned all across.”
