Ayub Afridi assumed charge of SAPM on Overseas Pakistani

Mr.Muhammad Ayub Afridi, Advisor to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) has assumed charge of his office on Wednesday. On arrival, he was received by the Secretary, and other senior officers Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development. The Secretary briefed him on the overall working of the Ministry & its attached organizations.

On the occasion, the Advisor to Prime Minister on OP&HRD has advised the officers to make all out efforts to serve the overseas Pakistanis and to resolve their problems on priority basis as per vision of Mr.Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He also emphasized the officers to set targets/plans for each organization and implement them within the timeline.

On Tuesday, Ayub Afridi resigned from the upper house of parliament reportedly in a bid to pave way for Finance Adviser Shaukat Tarin to become a member of parliament.

In order for him to head the cabinet committees, Tarin has to be a member of parliament as per a high court ruling.

The resignation letter of the PTI leader was approved by Senate chief Sadiq Sanjrani and a notification to this effect was issued by the Senate Secretariat as well.
