Atta Tarar Highlights Importance of Digitization for Economic Revival
Federal Information Minister stresses the role of youth and freelancers in Pakistan's digital transformation.

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar emphasized on Thursday the crucial role of digitization in the country’s economic recovery.
Highlighting the significance of Pakistan’s youth, Tarar noted, “68 percent of the nation’s population consists of young people.” He also pointed out the growing importance of freelancers, stating, “Pakistan ranks second globally in terms of the number of freelancers.”
He added that steps have already been taken to digitize the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Commenting on Pakistan’s role in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he said, “It is a great honor for Pakistan to host the SCO.”
No NROs for anyone’: Atta Tarar criticizes PTI
A few days earlier, on Wednesday, Tarar criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), firmly stating that no one will receive any form of NRO.
He explained, “The constitutional amendment focuses on delivering justice. Broad consultations are underway regarding the constitutional package.”
Tarar further remarked, “Pakistan’s apex and constitutional courts are distinct. No ruling has been made yet on the events of May 9.”
