Asian Cricket Council President Responds to BCCI’s Request for Asia Cup Trophy
The proposed date for the trophy presentation ceremony is November 10.
Islamabad (Roshan Pakistan News): The President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi, has replied to a letter from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the Asia Cup 2025 trophy.
According to sources, the BCCI had written to Mohsin Naqvi requesting to receive the Asia Cup trophy for the upcoming tournament. In response, the ACC President suggested organizing a formal ceremony where the trophy could be handed over.
Sources revealed that the ACC has informed the Indian board that the Asia Cup trophy can be presented during the first week of November. The proposed date for the trophy presentation ceremony is November 10.
Mohsin Naqvi has taken a firm stance, stating that officials from the Indian board can come with one player to receive the trophy at the ceremony.

It is important to note that after winning the Asia Cup 2025 final, the Indian team did not collect the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. Due to this, Naqvi sent the trophy back to the ACC office.
Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi had expressed his frustration over the BCCI’s refusal, saying that if the Indian captain wants the trophy, he should come to his office and collect it.
