After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to field first. Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 168 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Dasun Shanaka played a standout innings, remaining unbeaten on 63 runs. Kusal Mendis contributed 34 runs, Pathum Nissanka scored 22, while Charith Asalanka added 21 runs to the total.

In response, Bangladesh successfully chased down the 169-run target in the final over, finishing at 169 for 6. The match remained tightly contested until the last moments, making it an exciting start to the Super Four stage.

With this win, Bangladesh secures valuable points in Group B of the Super Four round. Earlier, Pakistan and India qualified from Group A, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh advanced from Group B.
