Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh in an Instagram post congratulated the Pakistani athlete Arhad Nadeem for winning the gold medal for Pakistan.
He said: “Heartiest congratulations to Ashad Nadeem as well for scripting history with an incredible 92.97m throw and breaking the Olympic record.”
Yuvraj congratulating Neeraj said: “Proving yet again that his spirit to win is as unbreakable as his javelin’s flight. You have not only won a historic silver medal but have also brought a golden moment for every Indian heart.”

Indian cricket legend Ravi Shashtri congratulated Arhsad Nadeem and said it needed a monstrous and spectacular throw from Arshad Nadeem to break the 90m barrier twice, something unheard of. “You are one great athlete,” he added.
