Apple to Hold November Event with New Product Unveils

Apple may not have finished its 2024 product announcements just yet. After unveiling the iPhone 16 series in September, the tech giant is rumored to be gearing up for another event on November 1, where it could introduce new Mac hardware and iPads, according to Bloomberg.

The event is expected to showcase updated versions of the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac, and a refreshed iPad mini, which hasn’t been updated since 2021. Here are five important points to watch for:

1. MacBook Pro Gets Spec Boost with M4 Chipset
After debuting the M4 chipset in the iPad Pro earlier this year, Apple is likely to bring the same upgrade to its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. Rumors suggest that Apple may also reveal the more powerful M4 Pro and M4 Max chip variants.

2. M4 Pro and M4 Max Chips Expected Soon
Following its usual pattern, Apple typically introduces more advanced versions of its chips after releasing the base models. This was seen with the M1 series, where the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips were released after the initial M1 MacBook Air. A similar approach is anticipated for the M4 series, with the M4 Pro and M4 Max set to deliver better performance, especially for intensive tasks. The Mac mini could also receive the M4 Pro upgrade.

3. **No Redesign for MacBook Pro**
Leaked footage from earlier this week suggests the MacBook Pro will retain its current design, with no major exterior changes expected. The updates will likely be focused on internal performance improvements, with even the packaging remaining unchanged, according to leaks.

4. Mac mini May Get Smaller
Apple is rumored to be introducing a redesigned Mac mini, potentially shrinking it to around the size of the Apple TV 4K. This would represent the first significant redesign for the Mac mini in years, and it’s expected to feature the M4 chip. The new model may also come with more USB-C Thunderbolt ports, and could see the removal of the traditional USB-A port.

5. iPad mini 7 – Long Overdue Update
The iPad mini has not been refreshed since the 2021 release of the iPad mini 6, which featured the A15 chip. With its compact and portable design, the iPad mini continues to be popular, but it’s due for an upgrade. The iPad mini 7 is expected to feature a new chipset and possibly include Apple’s latest intelligent features, providing a much-needed refresh to the lineup.
