All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi has condemned the authoritarian actions of the occupying Indian state in arresting Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, the former President of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, under frivolous and fabricated charges.

In a statement issued after an APHC meeting, the Convener resolved to impress upon the United Nations and other human rights bodies to order the release of Mian Abdul Qayoom, who was recently detained by the State Investigation Agency (SIA) on June 25, 2024, under a fabricated case.
