Small Indonesian Plane Crashes Near Makassar, Killing All Onboard

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – In Indonesia, a small passenger plane crashed this morning, resulting in the deaths of all 11 people on board.

The regional aircraft, ART 42-500, operated by Indonesia Air Transport, was carrying three passengers and eight crew members.

According to reports, the plane departed from Yogyakarta en route to Makassar in South Sulawesi. Contact with air traffic control was lost when the aircraft was approximately 12 miles from the airport.

Preliminary reports indicate wreckage has been spotted in the Liang-Liang area of Maros district, a mountainous region. Rescue and investigation efforts are underway.
