The video features “Rang Rasiya,” a song performed by Nirmala, a talented young singer from Umerkot, Tharparkar. Despite enduring significant hardships, Nirmala’s dedication and journey from a remote desert area to the center of Pakistani music are vividly showcased in the video.
Ali Zafar, known for his creative contributions to the music industry, unveiled the sophisticated video on social media. The AI-generated visuals portray a beautiful Sindhi woman as a bride, navigating through a captivating mix of water and desert landscapes.

The imagery blends traditional elements with modernity, reflecting the duality of Nirmala’s experiences and aspirations.
In a detailed caption, Zafar shared the project’s backstory, revealing that he was introduced to Nirmala through a WhatsApp demo from Pakistani socialite Mian Yousuf Salahuddin. Zafar praised Nirmala’s voice and her resilience in pursuing music despite the socio-cultural challenges she faces.
“Several years ago, I was deeply impressed by Nirmala’s talent and story when I first heard her demo,” Zafar wrote. “Her commitment to her passion, despite limited resources and societal constraints, inspired me to support her by recording, producing, and releasing her song.”
Zafar explained that the creation of the music video was influenced by his early interest in digital art. Reflecting on his college days, he noted the advancements in technology while maintaining that the essence of artistic exploration remains constant. He highlighted that working with AI in the video production process was both challenging and enlightening.
“Creating each frame with AI required careful attention and multiple revisions,” Zafar said. “It was a labor-intensive process, but the outcome was worth it. AI offers an exciting new realm in the art world, and I am excited to present Nirmala’s talent through this innovative medium.”
