Islamabad: On completing 100 days in office, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, said at a special press conference at Kashmir House that his government has taken concrete and practical steps to restore public confidence in state institutions and promote good governance in a short period of time.
The press conference was attended by Finance Minister Qasim Majeed, Information Minister Rafiq Nayyar, Minister for Kashmir Cause Nabila Ayub, Food Minister Javed Badhanvi, Government Advisor Ahmed Saghir, and Media Advisor Syed Azadar Kazmi.
Prime Minister Rathore said that during these 100 days, transparency, merit, and public service have been made the cornerstone of government policy. He added that the uncertainty and anxiety prevailing in the state were addressed, and the government machinery was mobilized to resolve public issues effectively.
He emphasized that direct engagement with citizens has been established, the doors of the Prime Minister’s House opened to the public, and the grievance redressal system made fully functional. He noted that prior to taking office, the political and administrative system was ineffective, but the current government has created political and administrative stability.

During this period, several governance reforms were initiated, and the foundations of multiple development projects were laid. Despite the short timeframe, the government aims to leave strong and sustainable foundations for future generations.
On overseas Kashmiris, the Prime Minister said that special courts have been established to resolve property disputes of Kashmiris living abroad, and an Overseas Commissioner has been appointed. Meaningful discussions have also begun to include the overseas community in the state’s development process.
Commenting on regional and national matters, he said Pakistan is currently facing difficult challenges, and national unity is essential. The armed forces continue to defend the country’s borders with courage, and any form of enemy aggression is strongly condemned.
He reiterated that the freedom of Kashmir is linked to Pakistan’s security, and the Kashmiri people have consistently stood with Pakistan. The Kashmir issue has gained global prominence, and the international community should play an effective role in ensuring a just and lasting resolution.
Prime Minister Rathore concluded by reaffirming that public confidence has been restored and that all government institutions are actively engaged in serving the people.
