“I couldn’t sleep for days. I kept reflecting on what these children endure. The stories were so heavy that I couldn’t get them out of my mind,” he admitted.

The psychological impact was so intense that Khan stepped away from work for nearly six months, finding it difficult to commit to new projects while processing the role’s emotional weight.

He also spoke about the unexpected reactions from survivors. Many individuals, including married women, approached him to share their personal experiences. Khan expressed surprise, questioning why they felt comfortable opening up to someone who had portrayed such a dark character, calling the experience deeply moving yet overwhelming.

Beyond acting, Khan took on a meaningful role as an ambassador for the Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, using his platform to advocate for children’s safety and welfare.

His performance in Udaari marked a significant shift from his usual romantic roles, as he portrayed a manipulative antagonist with hidden malicious intent. The role sparked widespread discussion across Pakistan on difficult social issues and earned him critical acclaim.

Khan’s powerful portrayal was recognized at the Lux Style Awards, where he won Best TV Actor. His performance was widely praised for its depth, sensitivity, and courage, further establishing him as one of the most versatile actors in the industry.
