Aaqib Javed Says Pakistan is Preparing for Champions Trophy 2025
LAHORE: Pakistan’s interim head coach, Aaqib Javed, has stated that the national cricket team is fully focused on preparing for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Javed emphasized that the upcoming series, including the ODI series against South Africa, is crucial for the team’s preparations for the prestigious tournament.
Javed highlighted the importance of every series leading up to the Champions Trophy, noting that they all play a significant role in ensuring the team’s readiness for the mega-event. “The ODI series against South Africa is part of our preparations for the Champions Trophy. All the upcoming series ahead of the event are vital,” he said.
The interim head coach also acknowledged the pressure the team faces due to the high expectations of fans. “There exists pressure on the team because of the expectations from the fans. However, this pressure is important as it pushes the team to perform better and improve,” he added.
