ISLAMABAD: In anticipation of the upcoming elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a comprehensive schedule outlining key dates and milestones in the electoral process.

According to the ECP’s announcement, appeals regarding the approval and rejection of papers will be accepted until January 3. This offers candidates an opportunity to address any discrepancies in their documentation.

By January 10, the Appellate Tribunal, appointed by the ECP, will deliver decisions on the appeals, shaping the landscape for the candidates involved.

On January 11, the ECP is set to unveil the revised list of candidates. After that, candidates will have until January 12 to make the decision of whether they wish to withdraw their nomination papers, a process that can significantly impact the composition of the final candidate pool.

Finally, on January 13, the ECP will take the next decisive step by allotting electoral symbols to the candidates.
