COAS holds meeting with PM

Islamabad_Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Tuesday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Prime Minister’s House,(IS) Director General Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum was also present during the meeting.

Army Chief gave a briefing to the Prime Minister on the professional affairs of the Pakistan Army.

A briefing was also held on the border and internal security situation while Army Chief’s visit to China was also discussed.

The meeting also discussed decisions and implementation of the National Security Committee.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the preparations and ongoing operations of the Pakistan Army.

During the meeting, the current security situation in the country was discussed, with the army chief and DG ISI briefing the prime minister on the latest developments.

The meeting reportedly focused on terrorism, including the border situation, and measures to counter it.

The premier was informed of the progress made in efforts to combat terrorism, with a particular emphasis on border security.

Sources indicated that the prime minister expressed his satisfaction with the professional performance of the Pakistan Army in the meeting.
